We speak with Alex Villarino and Megahn Chun, the current owners of El Mercado de La Raza. We are extremely excited to learn about their journey to Hawai'i and what motivated them to purchase a Latin American market here in Hawai'i that is located at 1315 S. Beretania street. They have made a conscious effort to become community leaders and provide a space for other Latino-owned businesses on the Island. They share with us what they are doing differently by introducing their initiative for Marchantes Latinos.' How was this initiative started and who has participated thus far?
